e mail request confirmation from ibis..is this normal?
Ibis madrid has sent me an e mail requesting my confirmation number and arrival time etc. This seems unusual as the booking was done via accor and I have silver status. Is such e mail request normal?

Asking for an estimate of your arrival time is nothing unusual. It helps the hotel to manage the check-in/out and to see if they can allow some late check-out to eligible guests.
But asking for your confirmation number seems pretty weird to me
