This amazing site not only lets you plot each trip, and gives you mileage, but has airport info to click onto where airport 3 letter code shows in BLUE - play around with it ... real fun!

While it may not be a hub in the strictest sense of the word, I submit that a strong argument could be made for MCO as a hub for Delta (DL), Southwest (WN), and US Airways (US). True, many of these flights are on regional derivations of the mainline carrier, but miles and segments accrued still count toward each airlines FF program.

Delta (DL) Comair (C) Delta Express (DLE)

#Daily Non-Stops/ Carrier

Albany, NY 2 WN
Albuquerque, NM 2 WN
Austin, TX 1 WN
Baltimore, MD 7 WN
Birmingham, AL 1 WN
Buffalo, NY 1 WN
Chicago, IL (Midway) 3 WN
Columbus, OH 1 WN

Houston, TX (Hobby) 2 WN
Indianapolis, IN 2 WN

San Antonio, TX 1 WN
St. Louis, MO 3 WN
West Palm Beach, FL 4 WN

Total Number of Daily Non-Stops 68

Delta- In the 1980s and early 1990s MCO was really a true hub for Delta. Mainline non-stop service was available to over 30 destinations including a daily non-stop to Paris (I cant remember if it was CDG or ORY) and two daily non-stops to Frankfurt. MCO currently has, without doubt, Deltas best Crown Room Club

US Airways- The pending merger of United and US Airways will be interesting for MCO. United currently has 25 daily mainline non-stop flights serving LAX, SFO, DEN, ORD, IAD, and MIA. A merged United/US Airways could be poised to overcome Delta as MCOs largest carrier.

Southwest- Serves 24 cities with nearly 140 daily non-stop departures and arrivals (impressive considering WN didnt even serve MCO 8 years ago). They recently established a major crew base at MCO and appear to be on the verge of another growth period.

If you used an even looser definition of a "hub" airline as one that serves more cities with non-stop service than just their traditional hubs then as noted above you could include United (daily non-stop service to LAX/SFO/DEN/ORD/IAD/MIA)and American (daily non-stop service to LAX/DFW/ORD/MIA/BOS/LGA/SJU/SAO plus STL/JFK with the TWA acuisition)

Oh maaan. Anything but a 737.
