Any discussion that stays on topic is welcome to take place here on the Mileage Run forum as well as anywhere else on Flyertalk.

He recently had several threads where almost no value was added - and the majority of posts were personal discussions as well as personal attacks. There is no need for that.

We do perceive our jobs as moderators here on the forum to make information easy to perceive, easy to read, easily accesible to anybody - and we're also here to make sure that anything that is posted is in line with the Flyertalk TOS.

In the LAN thread, several posters yet again overstepped the line - and I believe the posts by my fellow moderator beaubo as well as those by myself made it very clear that there is a need to stay on topic.

We don't need personal insults or bad jokes about calling the airlines, we do need a civil discussion about deals, miles & points.
