It appears, starting September 3rd, AA is dropping one of the two non-stops between LAX-EWR. This was never a seasonal route, nor does it appear back in schedule through next year.
LAX-EWR Flight 164 (The afternoon flight)
EWR-LAX Flight 43 (The morning flight)
Noticed this. I'll miss this flight. Guess I'll be going over to JFK more often. Not all bad as the onboard product is much better on the 767.
