Using my FF number in somebody else's booking

Hey All,

Just wondering if most airlines have systems in place to detect weather the FF number in a booking doesn't belong to the name in the booking. My partner travels alot on *A carriers but has never been intersted in becoming a FF of any airline. What would happen if we put my FF number into his PNR?

It would be a nice way of accruing some miles, but I'm tipping that most airlines would be up to this. Just seems that they miles should go to somebody, its not like they're being claimed twice.

In addition, some people may have different name details on the PNR (which must be as per passport) than on their FF card. Just wondering if it would be picked up...

Anybody with any insight
