I've received a request from my cousin for recommendations for restaurants in Longview, or any place along I-20, and on her way to DFW. She's a Midwesterner and has never had real BBQ, so anything like that will be a treat for her. She'll be in Longview until Friday and flies out from DFW Friday evening. Go to North Main Barbeque in Euless. This is very close to DFW airport. From hwy 183 (airport freeway) continue on west past the airport 1 or 2 exits. Exit on Main street, turn right (south).
The place is only open on Fri-Sun - it is a real experience, in my (limited) opinion the best BBQ in the DFW area.
