Ok, so after a relatively succesful few cards last year, I ordered a gift card this year since I had several upcoming stays in NYC and thought I'd make about $100/week. Since I wasnt going to be coming home for a while, I ordered a $2K Gift card (for $1800) at a friend's address. Turns out DHL delivered it to some other place coz my friend never received it.
What surprizing is that someone signed him/herself as the building Super despire the fact that my friend's wife is a stay at home mom and was at home all the time when the alleged delivery was made.
Well my friend checked the security cameras approx 2 hours around the alleged delivery time and no DHL guy had shown up. When I confronted DHL with this information, they have launched an inquiry. Today morning I received a voice mail saying that they screwed up and are sending the guy over to retrieve the delivery from where he made it. Can you believe this???

However, I have yet to hear back from them. I contacted Marriott and they have refused to help in any way? Is this normal? In case DHL cant retrieve the shipment, what are my options? Can I dispute the charge on my credit card? Has anyone else been through this? Appreciate any and all pointers I can get.
