Next time I fly (unfortunately not till late August) I think I'll try using my ID if there isn't a long line and seeing what they say. I think I'll end up getting a passport card anyway so that I don't need to bother with my passport since they'll probably reject the gov't ID (even though having it means I've verified citizenship and everything *sigh*).
