But UK's not Schengen... Oh, wait a sec. I think I get what you're saying -- the system is geared towards Schengen travel, and therefore all passengers go through passport control. UK being non-Schengen, passengers to London then go back out through passport control again. Interesting. So people who would otherwise need a visa for Iceland really would get tripped up by this...
Interesting that NW does the same gig. Perhaps someone in the industry can comment on this -- is the money used to defray flights that connect on other airlines? Or simply to reduce the charity's impact on the airline's bottom line?
