Partially checking bags
I have an upcoming DXB-LHR-JFK flight on VS. I want to buy a friend of mine in the States a bottle of vodka from London as a gag gift (Sainsbury's Basics). My bag is small enough to be a carry on, so I was wondering if it'd be ok to carry it on DXB-LHR, buy the bottle in London (5 hour layover), then check it at Heathrow for the JFK leg with the liquid inside?
