I would take advantage of the favorable exchange rate (for Canadians that is, CAD being strong against the USD right now) and have a leisurely drive east on I-90 through New York State and Massachusetts to Cape Cod. Lots of fun things to hit along the way:
  • Lunch on buffalo wings and/or beef on weck in Buffalo
  • Explore the Finger Lakes region (and the wineries there )
  • Attend a concert at Tanglewood in the Berkshires, have a picnic on the grounds beforehand
  • Take the kids to Six Flags New England ("More flags! More fun!" ) just south of Springfield MA
  • Do the Freedom Trail/Museum of Science thing in Boston
  • Then on to Cape Cod (or the South Shore of Rhode Island, or coastal Maine) for some beach time and the obligatory lobster
If you rented a car for the drive east, then drop it off in BOS and fly back on AC!
