Personally I have been upgraded on 3 out of 4 IB longhaul sectors (as a BA gold), so I'm pretty happy about the treatment I got as a oneworld emerald.
I am Ruby status and no upgrades were available, nor the Milan office of Iberia answered the infinite calls we (me and travel agency) made.On line check in is available on with the Iberia card for long haul flights.
Note that i was traveling with my wife and my 3 year old son and in 3 flight out of 4 we were separated by the aisle....
I will never fly Iberia again, next time i go to S.Domingo ( i have a new house there so i will go at least 2 times a year) i try Air France...
I fly usually for business trips with Cathay and if i need anything, the office answers after 2 or max 3 rings and they are extremely kind.
