I'm OW Sapphire flying IB (AA codeshare) BOS-MAD. As a rather tall (1.94m) passenger, I'd very much appreciate reserving an exit row seat for the TATL flight. I called Iberia's dripping-with-attitude customer service line and they told me, in so many words, that I can inquire about exit-row seating when I check in.

I fly SFO-DFW and DFW-BOS on AA, landing in BOS two hours before my flight to MAD departs. Could I call Iberia and get an exit row seat upon check-in at SFO or at DFW, or do I have to wait until I arrive at BOS, which, given the time, means I probably won't get it?

Well my friend good luck.....
i am a member of Marco Polo (Silver...gettin into gold) and i just flew Milan-Madrid-S.Domingo and not only i got no benefit rather than a welcome on board from the crew, but i got the scrappiest place on the plane (row 33 on the airbus, this means for me (1.92 cm) not a trip but a torture.
Many thanks to the Iberia office in Milan for not responing at the 6 call made by me and the other more made by my travel agency, and thanks to all the ground staff in Milano for answering my request of a confortable row 8 or 22.
Last but not least, on the return trip (same route S.domingo-Madrid-Milano) i saw a girl with a cast on her left foot, in row 22 A, emergency exit..... i bet on any airline to give an exit row ot who has a mobile difficoulty !!!
NEVER with IBERIA AGAIN !!
