I am booking a flight from EWR to PBI on Dec. 10 (Wed)and return on Jan 7(WEd). Last year I got this flight for $145 roundtrip but I bought only 3 weeks ahead of flight going from EWR to PBI. You can wait but I doubt prices will go down much. Last year EWR-Florida had $59/$69 (depending on DOW) but this year the lowest price is $109 each way. There might be a sale for $89 or $99 each way since you are traveling during off peak times but they will not be available until much close to your departure dates.
However the industry is probably going to reduce capacity by 10-15% in the forth quarter so that $109 might increase to $129 and the possible sale fare might be $109.
