He said it was not allowed, then suggested I call HA and change to a later flight, so he could interline the bags. I told him the change fee was $40 and I'll take my chances. Like I said, I was able to do it the hard way in 60 minutes.

But I would like to know in advance what the rules are, since they changed them on me without notice. Its not a nice surprise.

Again, is there an official time limit for legal interline of baggage?
Is it the same for every airport?
Where or how can I get this info in advance of booking a flight?
