IMO you can wait. There should be a sale from competing airlines.
However, in order to catch that sale - you'd have to keep on checking prices regularly. Do you have some time on your hands?
Are you willing to fly from/to different airports, or on different airlines?
or limited to Continental, EWR and PBI?
- how about Orlando or Miami in FL
- other 3 NY area airports, or even Baltimore/Washington, Philadelphia?
What travel tools are you using to find fares?
