I was just thinking about something for those folks doing SJU Runs to take advantage of the AADER Bonus. Most of those low fares to Puerto Rico are "O" fares. In the Section relating to Elite Qualifying Miles, "O" fares are ineligible for mileage accrual on flights to "Latin America." Latin America is not defined, but it seems to me that Puerto Rico could certainly fall within that definition.
So, has anyone actually done an SJU run and received q-miles for it? Just curious, because I have a run coming up soon.
AA considers SJU domestic for most purposes (for example no lounge priviledge for PLTs). I am hoping that it counts, just did JFK/SJU via MIA for miles and AADER.
