JKF departure is a bit early as well. Not a sleeper flight for sure.

Well the timings are good for most connections. There is little overlap between LHR and LGW oprations, so this will be attractive to those in the NE USA that want to fly OW to VCE, WAW, NAP, AGP, MRS, PSA etc. These are not available directly so the one stop is not really an issue. Plus if you have to choose between LGA & LHR for a transfer...

Of course, if you're really interested in getting to central London early you will choose LHR or LCY. Where BA (will) have that covered.
