Yes, I too was glad I was able to "work things out with Travelocity at the end," but make no mistabke about it, they had to be "persuaded" to do the right thing, because they weren't inclined to do so. In our back and forth in the course of a good deal of time with "Martin," then with his supervisor "Mark," it went from they were going to do nothing, to they would put me on a 6AM flight and bring me back from ORD and us through LGA, to finally the same flights I had originally purchased, or thought I had purchased. So, this wasn't one of those times when you have a beef with a merchant and they act promptly and graciously to set things right, leaving you with a good feeling toward them and a willingness to do business with them again in the future. I have no desire to do any business with Travelocity in the future, though I may go to their website to see if there are cheaper alternatives to UA, and if so, what they are. (I used to use their "dream map" to look for MR possibilities, but haven't done that for a long time, I think because they made some change that left that tool less useful than it had been.)
