AA's website tends to work. If you want to see what a really bad airline website can be like, take a look at ElAl:

www.elal.com

and these threads on FT (often angry rants about how bad elal.com is)... a lot of angry comments and frustration. Elal's website won't do the simplest things.

It's a pity it's otherwise an excellent airline.
