My cousin lives out in the Bay area (near San Jose).....and the funny thing is that I was just talking to her last night about me coming out to visit her.
Thanks to Delta......I just might head down there on Sunday.

Actually, I'm not TOO concerned about that.....especially since I was able to snag a nice exit row seat on my outbound flight.
Besides.....I look on the bright side....as if I don't get upgraded, then I'll finally get a chance to sample the new BoB food offerings.
At least.....my upgrade for my redeye flight seems like it has a good chance of clearing.

DL has made efforts to improve its front cabin service and at least give you something for an A fare. And with less 757s running around, there are less seats up front. Combine all these factors and my guess is that the flyer that can afford to pay for a Y-up, A, D or F ticket, regardless of status, will do so simply because the inventory or chance of an upgrade is statistically less than it use to be.
It seems to me like Delta is selling more paid 'premium cabin' seats on quite a few domestic routes this year.
I sure can't fault Delta for selling as many as they can......even if it means that I am sitting in the back a bit more often than in previous years.......especially when booked on cheap fares.
I do miss the ex-Song 757s w/26 F seats.
However, it's been quite some time since I was last on a DL 737......and have never been on one of the recently reconfigured 737s....so, this should be interesting.
It's too bad DL doesn't have any 739s....as they might probably be the best fit (potential capacity depending on seating configuration) for many of these transcon routes out of JFK.
