The OP asked for advice and opinions and got them. He had a couple of supporters, but quite a few of us expressed varying levels of disagreement with his point of view. Me among them.

We just lost the famous commentator William F Buckely, who pointed out that it is possible for people to disagree without being disagreeable. That doesn't seem to be happening in this case, and some of the comments are getting away from the type of civil conversations we try to have here.

Personally, I think this discussion has not only degenerated, but its going around in circles. Those of us with the majority view aren't going to convince the others and vice versa. Okay fine. We've had our discussion.

I think its about time for Bruce to close the thread so we can all move on to other things....hopefully as friends.
