1. Planet Hollywood - no suite, but I got a very nice renovated room overlooking the strip. I like having the separate check-in line.
2. Sheraton Maitland - no suite, nice room though, with a small balcony. Access to the club, but since we were there on a weekend, there wasn't anything useful foodwise.
3. Westin Chosun Seoul - no suite, but one of the executive rooms with a computer and cell phone. Excellent hotel and service. Lounge was nice. Very good breakfast spread.
4. Sheraton Xi'an - no suite, very small room even though we were "upgraded" to an executive room. We arrived at midnight, and there was no Plat line so we had to wait 10 minutes to check in. Hotel appeared to be quite empty, not sure why we weren't given a suite. The lounge had a decent breakfast and happy hour. Never saw more than two other people in the lounge.
5. Westin Beijing - no suite, but we got a renewal room. What a great hotel. The lounge was one of the best I've been in. Excellent service too.
I wonder what I'm doing wrong that I'm not getting any suites? Should I be requesting them on my reservation? We'll see what happens when I'm at the Westin in Tampa in a few weeks.

Stayed at the 4 pts. Cocoa Beach for one night on 3/20. Didn't get upgraded to a suite. Room was fine, nothing to write home about. The thing that was annoying is that they wouldn't give me 4pm checkout. It's not a resort. It's not a conference center. I thought I was guaranteed 4pm checkout in that case?
Stayed at the Westin Colannade in Coral Gables the following 3 nights. I booked a suite, hoping I would get upgraded to a better suite. No such luck. It wasn't even busy there.
I don't know why I wasted my money becoming platinum, it hasn't been any better than gold, other than the 50% redemption promotion.
