Just to share that I have also heard the first 744 will do IAD-FRA, not ORD-HKG. Not sure if it is reliable or not, but I thought I share it here anyway.
If I were a betting person, I would put money on IAD-FRA just because they should have experience at both ends in fixing the new seats on the 767 already. As far as oversea routes, I will believe it when I see it based on the experience with the 767s.
