Yeah, some of those discounts are "free" to those people with a chase credit card. Or those people who have been inconvenienced by having a delayed flight or bumped. Besides doing one of those things or buying it on ebay, there aren't really other options.

I'd also be careful about bidding on those certificates that offer discounts for $100 off $400 or more, $50 off of X or $25 off of X. They usually require you to purchase such a high fare class that it isn't worth it.
