The original story made headlines everywhere, yet is was a one-sided account where the only info source was the distraught family. Now that AA has replied with some real facts, I wonder if the second story will also make headlines?
Probably not. Facts have no place in today's society (nor on today's websites).

I don't want to side w/ AA here, but the explanation in this article seems highly plausible. If/once the doctors report in we'll probably get the final bit of clarity.
My bigger peeve is why the press chose to spin this so badly. I mean, it's cool that they had an eyewitness account when they began reporting, but why not get someone with a more objective opinion?
