Probably in anticipation of the lawsuit to be filed today or tomorrow against AA and everyone else involved. I'm sure every PI lawyer in Brooklyn is calling the cousin right now looking to take the case.

It's tragic, but it sounds like AA did all it could do. Diverting the plane after the person was pronounced dead makes no sense.
