You may want to give T-Mobile a shot. I have Cingular (which is GSM in CA, NV, WA and ID), so they partner with T-Mobile (formerly VoiceStream) in other parts of the country. I have to say that I have never had a problem when in a T-Mobile network. Best of all, since you will have GSM service, it will work anywhere in Canada (using either the Microcell or Rogers AT & T networks) as well as in Europe, Asia, Australia and South America. T-Mobile also has the lowest international roaming rates. If you looking for miles however, AT & T has a deal with AA to get 5,000 miles for each line.
