Tired of the DC-9 back-to-backs
I'm researching various options for my upcoming, exciting MSN-EWR roundtrip and I've decided to choose my flights based on aircraft, so that I have the opportunity to possibly try out 4 different FC cabins.
I know that pax choose certain flights based on aircraft, but has anyone done this to vary the aircraft, in order to have the most diverse flight experience?
I am currently looking at booking the CRJ900 MSN-MSP, A320 MSP-EWR, A319 EWR-DTW, and ERJ175 DTW-MSN. The FC cabins look pretty wide open and with my CO Gold status, I might have a chance at getting the UG (although fare is T). I could also co with a NW/CO combo and sit in a 737-300 and possibly a SAAB.
Should I book the RJ itin and hope for an UG and a chance to check out these new FC cabins or go with the all-mainline service and still have a "decent" seat if not upgraded (even if it means 4 DC-9s)?
