here you can see the number of posts in each forum, and while OMNI isn't as busy as all others combined, it is the single busiest. I don't know what I'm talking about here, but I would guess that IB wont lose money since the people that can access it are only those that are eligible, as opposed to everyone, including lurkers, which would translate to less page hits.
OMNI is a loss leader. It's here to keep folks happy and keep people here. Traffic went down dramatically when OMNI was closed for a brief period of time. Turns out people don't want to talk about miles and points all day long. But they will talk about other things AND miles and points all day long.
