I have had one occasion to use it so fare and was extremely happy to have it. I for one prefer to board early, stow gear, and if in F, sit back with a beverage and read or make a last minute phone call. I usually get to the gate for the first call so this was a little different.

Flying JFK-LAS in paid F, the flight was running a tad bit late. DL posted a 45 minute delay. So just about 35 minutes before the delayed departure time, I proceed from CRC to the gate. Apparently they cleaned the plane in record time and were already boarding what appeared to be all rows. The line snaked back to the gate desk. I walked up to the Breeze Way, waited until an agent could take my boarding pass and walked on. Great perk.
