LAX, as a whole, is not a great airport. It's old, and not well maintained. But I cannot say negatives about the T6 staff or wait times. They have helped me out many times. ^
This was going to be my exact comment when I read the OP. Of every UA hub, LAX has the best set-up for rapid premium cabin check-in/security. I can't think of one time in the last couple years that I spent over 10 minutes total for the whole process. AA's F/EXP checkin at LAX is a much less efficient.

I too don't know why people trash UA @ LAX so much. Unlike most, I don't even mind the RCC - I find it leagues above ORD/IAD.
