It's possible you are confusing two distinct cards from different issuers.

The American Express Platinum Card is issued by American Express Centurion Bank, annual fee $450, no Priority Pass (for cards issued in USA), but access to AA, CO, DL, NW when flying the corresponding airline. Details here...

Citi Platinum American Express Card is issued by Citibank, annual fee $99 (after first year), includes standard Priority Pass with no charge for first three visits each year, $27 per visit or guest thereafter. The Citi card is not accepted at AA, CO, DL or NW clubs (although some of these will accept the Priority Pass). Details here...
