The website and seat assignment issues continue to be a big problem with 9W. I had the same problem with website booking again.
The first para may be true, but I feel that they are trying to improve the customer service as much as possible, but do not want the information to go outside their domain...
The website has major problems now, as they are so popular, sorry to say! (I also am continuously frustrated at accessing online services nowadays!)
