Award travel to Northern South America no longer available online?
A couple of weeks ago, I booked an award flight to LIM for this spring without any difficulty, and selecting from options on multiple partner airlines.
Because one of my preferred flights was unavailable, I began checking on nwa.com each day to see if any availability had opened up.
Last weekend, I began receiving this message instead of results from nwa.com:
"We are unable to book reservations online for the city or cities highlighted below. Please contact Northwest Reservations at 1-800-225-2525 to purchase your desired travel. (Message 110)."
I sent a TTU, and received the following reply: "checking availability for Lima is not available online. I know it is an inconvenience but you will need to call to check on availability."
To satisfy my curiosity, I checked a few other airports in the Northern South America region, including CCS, BOG, and CUZ. For all of them, I receive either the Message 110 or an ugly looking Message 106 (a database exception).
Anyone know what's up?
