So I will try to get to the airport and see if they will rebook me through DTW, which leaves sometime around 10am and arrives in RSW at 4:15pm. I am meeting a friend who arrives at 3:45pm so I don't want to be much later than that. But a re-route would be worth $300!
Welcome to the world of Bump Runs. Many people on FT will look for situations just like this to build up $300.00 travel vouchers and get First Class on the next flight. One day I scored $900.00 in one afternoon and ended up at mydestination 8 hours later than planned...in FC of course. I built up enough to buy a Z business fare to Asia for a holiday for $400.00...

Make sure you request a "bump" by asking if they need volunteers. Don't give them a free re-route.
