I am also somewhat skeptical about the original post for several reasons.
1) The Kellogg's promotion has been going on for nearly two years. If AA were upset that too many people were collecting too many miles this way, this could have stopped it long ago.
2) The total # of miles earned through Kellogg's is miniscule compared with the total # of miles being accumulated by other methods, such as flying, credit cards, and other partners. It is not likely to make much difference with regard to the total availability of award seats.
3) Pudding Guy's name is not Dave Peters.
