That raises the question, has anyone tried to use the 4 One-Way Confirmed Domestic Upgrades to/from Hawaii or Alaska from 2007? I don't see anything in the
2007 T&C that says no. Hmmm...

The domestic upgrades cannot be used for HI travel. (see copy of actual certificate verbiage below):
This certificate entitles you to a complimentary one-way First Class upgrade with the purchase of any published fare (including Military/Government fares) for travel with the 48 contiguous United States, Alaska, Canada, Mexico, Caribbean, and Costa Rica.
The HI awards were eliminated due to lack of selection in the 2007 program. In level 3 for 2007, the SWU option (which would include HI) was overwhelmingly selected with much greater frequency.
