Is AA somehow tagging the miles earned by people via this promotion in order to increase the burden in redeeming them later or does this hardship apply across the board for all AA FF?

I only ask because I assume AA is looking to make it difficult for everyone so why should anyone taking part in this promotion use extra caution? I suppose the warning should go out to all AA customers.

Just curious before I jump in with both feet and welcome to FT.
