I have a few questions about upgrading on the non-stop LAX-SIN-LAX flights (and I bought my ticket via a travel agent):

I might have to do this because of time constraints; meaning, I have to arrive in LAX around noon time and the non-stop route arrives in the late afternoon at around 4 pm. This is important because I want to catch a 4:30 pm LAX-IAD flight (or possibly an earlier one) to avoid waiting in LAX until 10 pm and have to spend NEW YEAR'S on the plane. Also, what are the implications of switching my routes with regards to upgrading changes?
