Flew ATL - LGW 7 Nov and LGW - ATL 14 Nov (763). No mention of using lav in ticketed class ATL - LGW, however, from LGW - ATL pilot was very explicit about using lav in class where you were seated, stating it was FAA, HSD (and TSA?) directive. I saw one Y pax sent back by a BE FA while the BE FAs said nothing to a number of BE paxs who walked back to the Y lavs. I understand the need to take care of those who pay the most but imposing usage restrictions with a ratio of 1 - 12 for 36 BE paxs and 1 - 41 for 165 Y paxs and not enforcing those restrictions seems absurd.

On an earlier domestic AA flight I watched as a soldier, in uniform returning from Iraq, who was sitting in the front of Y be sent back by a F FA. There were more than a dozen people waiting for the Y lavs and both F lavs were empty.
