It's one more intrusion and a maneuver that I just don't care for. You, on the one hand, don't have to endure secondary screening every time you fly because you are a member of a flight crew. Me, on the other hand, get the Full TSA Backrub because I have an artificial hip. Every time I turn around, screeners make sh(&) up because they can. Take your wallet out of your pocket. Oh, you have to remove your belt and it has to go through the xray after I have finished patting you down. Take your wristwatch off. . . I am not kidding about any of those demands.

I bought a wallet with an ID holder to make my ID visible to those who are authorized to see it. The only time anyone needs me to take it out of the holder is when they are going to take it back to the squad car and write me a ticket.

Tellers don't need me to take it out of the wallet, Airline ticket agents don't need me to take it out of the wallet, and $5.15 an hour security guards sure as hell don't need me to take it out of the wallet. So I don't.

I appreciate having airline and TSA contributions to these forums. But you really ought not to assume that these inconveniences should be acceptable to everyone who experiences them.
