Vertus are tacky. Want to impress? Get an unlocked iphone or kick@$$ blackberry. Want to be tacky and practical? Get a Dolce and Gabbana razr. Vertu is like a Maybach- for the wealthy without taste.
Personally, I come from a very comfortable background and I've been fortunate enough to live very comfortably myself
. I use a red razr that I'm quite happy with and an unlocked black GSM razr for international travel and as a backup. Better example: my older brother lives in Key Biscayne, FL (google it, that's your answer), drives an Aston, and has not flown coach since 1997. His phone is a Treo 700, even though he can afford any phone he wants. That's your hint right there... money and taste are better than money and rubbish.
