I had a Vertu Signature and then an Ascent for a while*. As previously mentioned, they are effectively old technology Nokia phones in a bling (and rather heavy) casing. Frankly they are not the same as watches or jewelry: phone technology goes out of date quickly, and the absence of 3G and Bluetooth (still only on a subset of models) gives some indication as to how far the phones lag behind current models. Plus, IMO, they just look vulgar.
