Ok, the letter of the law (I HATE having to invoke the 3.5 years I did of a Ll.B., B.A.) is as follows:

The advertise that you can have access on the day of your departure;
They do not state that access is ONLY availabe prior to departure;
They do NOT state that access is not available on arrival.

Based on what is advertised as access policy, namely that access is available on day of departure, and based on what lounge dragons have stated to me (confirmed three minutes ago with PER lounge dragons - PER is the only QP open at the moment) access is indeed available to QF members on arrival. But only domestically.

(I wonder how this would go at a DOM QP after flying between one of the cities of the seventh state, namely AKL, CHC or WLG and then wandering across to the BNE/SYD/MEL DOM QP's).
