In each post there is a post number.
The post where you asked this question was #38.
Click on the 38 in the right corner of the post.
That'll bring up the single post in a pop-up screen.
Copy the URL from that single post and
set up a link.
For those of you on Firefox, there's a sweet add-on that cuts this task down to one step --
text/plain 1.1.8:
Treats selected plain text urls
and email addresses as links, and
adds options to the context menu
on how to use these.
{emphasis mine}
Right-clicking on selected text or an existing hyperlink -- such as a particular Milepost number in a thread or a news title off CNN's front page -- brings up extra options in the context menu, including a sub-menu of formatting choices to apply to
Copy Link Text and Location As >>
...............
HTML Link
Plain Link
---------
>> BB Code <<
Fuse Talk
Wikipedia
...............
Two steps -- Right-click on a hyperlink >> select a formatting option -- and the link is ready to insert in your posting or reply window.
Outside of keyboard shortcuts, this is the one tool I use more than any other while on Flyertalk.
