Are you going to use the check in machine in the premium terminal at LAX or do you wish to have a person check you in?

Dont know if this is normal, but I lined up to check in at the Business class premium check in in LAX, hoping to get a staff member to assist. I waited there for 40 mins before anyone served me and there were only 2 people ahead of me

This was at 10am on a Thursday.
