Hawaii Needs the Super Ferry

I am pro-environment. Even so, I am saddened by the trouble the SuperFerry is seeing.

I think the ferry is an excellent option that could provide safe, clean, affordable inter-island transport. I think the current legal issues are a joke and think the State should work fast to get the ferry back on track. After all, this is just another boat we're talking about ...and there's lots of boats floating around the islands. In terms of environmental impact, a single cruise ship does far more harm than a week's worth of ferry shuttles. And the air and noise pollution by airplanes is far worse on humans and wildlife than the ferry will ever be.

I sent emails to my state legislators in Hawaii with my $0.02 on the matter and hope something could be done to get the ferry service up and running quickly. For all the property tax dollars I pay to Hawaii, I might as well let my voice be heard.
