As an outsider, can somebody fill me in on who is bearing the economic brunt of this debacle? Is the SuperFerry publicly owned? Subsidized by Hawaiian tax dollars? Or is it purely private interests that are taking it on the chin?
With a purported loss of $650,000 a week, it is difficult to imagine that the owners of the SuperFerry can afford to sit tight waiting for the ongoing legal wrangling to play itself out.
