Bed is not specifically bad but I agree, other hotels are better. Four Comfort Bed of "Four Points by Satan" (copyright by FCTSY) is much better.

Yes, those are new beds. I stayed in that hotel shortly after it was converted to a DoubleTree, and they have replaced all of the furniture. The rooms are much nicer than they were in that property's final days as a Hyatt.

I was on the 5th floor. No upgrade for me, but then, I had the 1000 bonus points selected as my VIP amenity. I like the DoubleTree beds, and slept quite well. The AC was fine, but being from Houston, I'm used to the thing running full blast all the time. I tend to sleep better with the noise it makes. If it's off, I'm usually way too hot, and can't sleep because it's too quiet.
